By Alaina Raftis, PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW Chefs from more than 20 of the city's tastiest eateries will gather under sprawling white tents to prepare various dishes for guests and a panel of 15 local food critics and other celebrity judges. The chefs will be competing for Best Appetizer, Entree and Dessert, as well as People's Choice Award and Dish of the Year.
"It's a really great chance for us chefs to network, since we're usually back in the kitchens and we don't get to see each other and talk," says Andrew Hebson, executive chef at Sonoma Grille on Penn Avenue, who is a returning contender this year. "It's nice to have all that talent in one area. I look forward to it every year." |
